The base is nuts, oats and chia seeds. To keep things on the healthier side, we went with maple syrup for natural sweetness. And our Öko-Caribe 70% give a flavourful boost to the roasted nuts and seeds.

Easy to make and delicious to eat, enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 120g gluten-free rolled oats

  • 45g chopped pecans and walnuts

  • 10g chia seeds

  • 10g cocoa powder

  • 20g coconut oil

  • 50ml maple syrup

  • 40g of our Öko-Caribe 70% dark chocolate, broken into chunks

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees Celsius.

  2. To a blend (or alternatively a mixing bowl), add the oats, nuts, chia seeds, and cocoa powder. Pulse (or stir) to combine.

  3. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the coconut oil and maple syrup until melted and combined. Pour over the dry ingredients and mix or stir well.

  4. Spread the mixture evenly onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes stirring halfway to ensure even baking.

  5. Let cool completely. Then add the chocolate. If not consuming immediately, place in an air-tight container and consume within a week.
